Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Brody Breaks Record In Conference Loss

Riverdale, NY- The Men's Lacrosse team played host to St. Joseph's Long Island on Wednesday afternoon. After a hard fought battle the Men would fall 13-3. In the loss Junior Christian Brody would break the all time record for saves in a single season. Brody now sits at 229 saves on the year.

The first half saw the Dolphins playing some of their best defense of the season holding the high powered Golden Eagles offense to just seven goals. The strong defensive effort was spearheaded by Sophomore Nick DiStefano and Brody in the cage. Despite the strong defensive effort the Dolphins could not seem to crack the Golden Eagle zone. The Dolphins would get their offense in the first half thanks to Freshmen Matthew Pincus who would find Jarrett McLean for one goal and then bury one himself from 40 yards out thanks to him recognizing St.Joes 10 man ride. CMSV would go into half time only trailing by five.

After going into halftime only trailing by five a very sluggish third quarter would doom the Dolphins as they would give up six goals while scoring zero. CMSV would go into the fourth trailing 13-2. The defense would tighten up in the fourth as they did not let the Golden Eagles find the back of the net for the rest of the afternoon. The Dolphins would add one more goal as Nana-Kofi Agyekum found Neil McGovern for the final goal of the day. For CMSV Brody would finish the day with 22 saves to give him 229 saves on the year which passed the previous single season record of 221 held by Mike Nuzzi (Class of 2010). Brody is currently sporting a .577 save percentage and has been tremendous for CMSV all year long.

The Dolphins will be back in action this weekend as they look to secure their first Skyline Conference victory of the season against Mount Saint Mary College. CMSV now sits at an overall record 2-9 and a Skyline Conference record of 0-3.
