Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Nagy Leads Dolphins To Second Win

La Plume, PA - The Men's Lacrosse team headed to Pennsylvania to take on the Giants of Keystone College for a weekday showdown. The Men were looking to snap their four game losing streak and that is just what they did. CMSV came away with the four goal victory 10-6.

The Dolphins would get on the board first thanks to Patrick Nagy who finished the feed from Jaiden Martinez, Keystone would quickly answer back to tie things back up at one. Nagy would switch roles on the next goal playing feeder as he found a streaking Jarrett McLean who finished the ball low. Keystone would have an answer as they tied the game at 2-2. Nagy would answer back again with just 30 seconds left to take the lead 3-2 into the 2nd quarter. To open up the second quarter Nana Kofi-Ageykum found a wide open Neil Mcgovern who buried his first goal of the season to put the Dolphins ahead by two. After a Keystone goal Nagy would push the lead back to two off a feed from McGovern. The Giants would continue to battle back as they netted another goal to cut the lead to 5-4 but Nagy would have an answer and extended the lead back to two just a minute later. CMSV would take a 6-4 lead into halftime.

Keystone would open up the third quarter with a goal to yet again cut the lead to just one. But you guessed it Nagy had an answer netting his fifth of the day pushing the lead back to two. Keystone would not get closer than that the rest of the contest. Martinez and Matthew Pincus would each add a goal to extend the lead to 9-5. The Giants would find the back of the net just one more time with four minutes to go in the game. Nagy would answer the call just one more time on a feed from Martinez on the man-up. This would get the lead 10-6 and that is how the game would end. Defensively for the Dolphins Kyle McGovern shined with three ground balls and three caused turnovers, Nick Distefano also had a great day for CMSV picking up five ground balls and forcing four turnovers.

The Men will be back in action this weekend at Marillac field as they resume conference play against cross town rival Maritime on Saturday at 1PM. The Dolphins now sit at an overall record of 2-7 and a Skyline Conference record of 0-1.
