Patchouge NY- The Women's basketball team took the court on Saturday afternoon looking to win their second straight skyline conference game. That is just what the women did as they defeated St. Joseph's Long Island by a score of 63-55

The Dolphins came out a little bit slow after a long bus ride on a Saturday afternoon and trailed 16-9 after the first frame. But junior Leah Pinili and senior Yamilersy Reyes were feeling it in the 2nd quarter, the two combined for 18 straight points for the Dolphins which lead to a 31-26 lead at the break. CMSV outscored the golden eagles 22-10 in the 2nd frame. Reyes ended the half with 12 points and Pinilli finished with 8. 

The entire second half the Dolphins managed to never give up the lead. CMSV shot an impressive 40% from the field as well as 80% from the free throw line. The sharp shooting of the Dolphins helped them maintain their lead and continue to dominate the whole second half in route to a 63-55 victory. Reyes secured yet another double double with 17 points an 12 rebounds, Pinilli added 19 points and 6 rebounds and Dez Brown continued a solid week with 8 points and 7 rebounds.

The women have now won their second straight Skyline Conference game. CMSV now sits at an overall record of 6-13 and a conference record of 5-9. The Dolphins will look to extend their win streak to three when they take on the Merchant Marine Academy right here at Peter Jay Sharp on Wednesday Febuary 6th!
