Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Dolphins Struggle On Road Against Albertus Magnus

New Haven, CT - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team suited up for their final contest in 2019, hitting the road to Connecticut to take on Albertus Magnus College. Despite a strong start to the season, the Dolphins struggled mightily on the road, dropping the game to the Falcons by the score of 83-58. CMSV now sits at 6-3 heading into 2020.

From the first quarter until the final whistle, it was all Albertus Magnus. The home team dominated on both ends of the floor, shooting 42% from the floor throughout the contest while knocking down 10 of 28 attempts from beyond the arc. They also caused 19 turnovers over the course of 40 minutes and 16 points off of them.

For the Dolphins, it was junior Aria Rheams who had another impressive outing. The Virginia native scored 19 points on seven of 19 shooting while also grabbing nine rebounds. DarNeisha Brice, the team's leading scorer, struggled from the field, as she made just five of her 23 shots. Senior Ashley Martin came off the bench and added eight points and 11 rebounds while Catherine Amodio and Melissa Perez added nine combined points to the stat sheet.

The Dolphins will now have a nice break for the holiday season before returning to Skyline Conference action in a road contest against Manhattanville College on January 4.
