Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Drops Tight Contest To Greyhounds

Bethlehem, PA - The Men's basketball team hit the road for the first time in 2019 to take on reigning Landmark conference champions Moravian. The Dolphins were looking to secure their first victory of the season after a tough loss to SUNY Delhi this past weekend. After a 40 minute battle CMSV fell just short of doing so, losing 79-71.

The Dolphins knew going in to today it was not going to be an easy one, as all of their non-conference matchups this year are against premier talent. Despite the loss the Dolphins certainly gave the Greyhounds all they could handle on Monday night. CMSV jumped out to a 9 point lead just 4 minutes into the game thanks to high energy and multiple big defensive stops. The Landmark champions would settle in and eventually regain the lead with 10 minutes to play in the opening half, Moravian would never let go as they held onto the lead for the remainder of the game. The Greyhound lead we grow to 14 with 10 minutes to play but CMSV would heat up behind the arc and knock down eight of their 15 threes in the second half. Unfortunately it would not be enough as they went on to lose by eight. The Dolphins got major production from their Sophomore class which is promising to see, Kalos Evans, Kelvin Turner-Harris and Dorian Robinson combined for 38 out of the Dolphins 71 points on 47% shooting. CMSV would love to continue to get this production out of its young core for the rest of the season.

The men will now have a full week off before taking on NJAC power New Jersey City University. The Dolphins who now sit an overall record of 0-2 will be hungry for their first win next Tuesday.
