Box Score 2 Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's baseball team wrapped up their third straight day of double headers on Sunday, with this two game matchup going against Lehman College. Unfortunately, the team seemed to be running on fumes by the end of the weekend, as they were defeated handedly in both games; first by the score of 12-2 and the second by the score of 17-2.
During game one, the Dolphins didn't put up much of a fight on offense, as both of the runs came without a hit.
Emanuel Giumarra put CMSV on the board in the fifth inning with a bases loaded walk, with
Jordan Perykasz driving in the second run after reaching first on an error.
Michael Kochen,
Justin Varvaro,
Pedro Fortoso and
Ross Bartziokas were the only players to reach base via a hit. The Dolphins saw more of the same in game two, as the team reached base just nine times (four hits, five walks). Giumarra stood out in game two, as he collected two hits in three at-bats and drove in one of the teams' two runs.
CMSV will look to return to their winnings ways on Tuesday when they hit the road to take on Oneonta.
