Box Score 2 Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent hosted the final tri-match of the 2018 season for men's volleyball. And in one of their final tuneups before the playoffs begin, the Dolphins were as sharp as they could possibly be, as they swept Sarah Lawrence College and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn six sets to zero.
Freshman
Jose Estrella was dominant throughout both contests, as he registered 21 total kills - including 15 against the Gryphons - while also adding three service aces to the stat sheet.
Brendan Ryan was equally as impressive, as his 11 kills, four service aces and 15 digs were a key factor in the sweep. Dolphins' top talents
Scott Sawyer (14 kills, four assists, five service aces),
Jordan Steiger (15 kills) and
Logan Dickover (63 assists) were all standout performers on Saturday afternoon as well.
With one game standing in between CMSV and the postseason, the team is preparing to make noise within their conference. Currently sitting with an 8-1 conference record, the Dolphins will face St. Joseph's College-Long Island on Sunday before the semifinals on April 12.
