Baseball Loses Two Close Games in Double Header vs. Knights

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's baseball team was on the road for another home matchup this weekend, as they traveled to Chester, New York to the Frozen Ropes facility for a Skyline double header against Mount Saint Mary. While both games were tightly contested, the Dolphins ultimately dropped both.

In the 4-1 loss in game one, Tyler Paulino, Emanuel Giumarra, Pedro Fortoso and Matt Nesensohn registered one base hit each. One bright spot of the game was Eric Ricardo, who allowed just five total baserunners in seven innings of relief. The two-run loss in game two was a familiar outcome, as the Dolphins struggled at the plate but performed admirably on the mound. Despite getting more runs than the first game, CMSV only had one hit, which came at the hands of Fortoso. After Alex Montanez had an up-and-down start, Sean McHugh struck out three batters in 3.1 innings of relief.

The Dolphins, who are now 8-13 this season, will return to action on Sunday when they take on Lehman College for a double header.
