Rachel Heizer took her senior season to the next level on Thursday afternoon, as she pitched a no hitter against Lehman in a non-conference contest. Over the course of five innings, Heizer allowed just one baserunner - via a walk - while striking out 11 batters. She helped her own cause on the offensive end as well, as she registered one hit and one RBI. She is now 4-4 on the season with an impressive 3.22 ERA.
As her final season winds down, Heizer is putting the finishing touches on an unmatched career. A former Skyline Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year, she is featured near the top on a number of career record lists, including strikeouts (fourth-223), ERA (third-3.82) and shutouts (fourth-five) amongst others. With 14 games to go, it's safe to assume she'll climb up the record books even further.Â
