Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - Earning the second seed in the Skyline Conference, men's volleyball hosted the semifinals of the conference championship tournament on Thursday, taking on Purchase College. As was the case during the regular season, the Dolphins swept the Panthers and will be returning to the championship game for the third straight season.
From the first serve, the Dolphins were dominant, as they won each set by no less than nine points.
Scott Sawyer paced the team with 12 total kills while both
Jordan Steiger and
Neven Skoblar combined for 17 of their own.
Logan Dickover was once again outstanding in setting up his teammates, as he secured 38 assists, which now gives him 1,895 for his career, good for third on the program's all-time assist list. Dickover, Steiger and Skoblar also combined for 11 aces in the lopsided affair.
CMSV will await the winner of St. Joseph's College-Long Island and Yeshiva University to determine whether they'll be on the road or hosting the championship on Saturday.
