Box Score 2 Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's baseball team played their second of two conference double headers on Sunday, this time against the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Unfortunately, the results were the same, as the Dolphins dropped both games to the Mariners.
CMSV was shut out in game one by the score of 10-0. Mariners hurler Joe Raab was impressive on the mound, as he didn't allow a baserunner until the final inning of play. Freshman
Matt DiNorcia and sophomore
Anthony Nocero were the only two members of the Dolphins to reach base. Despite picking up the loss,
Jeremy Glazer had a strong start, allowing just two earned runs and six hits while striking out four over four innings of work.
While the result in game two was the same, CMSV did have some standout performers throughout the contest. Once again, DiNorcia was one of two Dolphins to reach base, with
Luis Castillo also picking up a hit in the outing. Senior Sideeq Ali impressed out of the bullpen, as he struck out four Mariners in his 3.2 frames of relief.
With the two losses, the Dolphins now sit at 6-9 on the season, including a 2-4 conference record. They'll return to action on Tuesday when they travel to NYU for a double header.
