Box Score 2 Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's baseball team struggled in their first of two Skyline Conference double-header matchups, as they fell to Farmingdale State College on Saturday by the scores of 11-0 (game one) and 6-1 (game two). The Dolphins are now 6-7 on the season with a 2-2 record against conference competition.
Despite the two losses, the Dolphins had players who performed admirably over the course of both games. In the first matchup, sophomore
Anthony Nocero had two of CMSV's three hits, bringing his season average up to an impressive .419, which includes nine RBI and four extra base hits. Pitcher
Eric Ricardo picked up the loss, but only two of the five runs he allowed were earned. He also gave up eight hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings of work.
While Nocero stood out throughout the first game, it was
Matt DiNorcia who did so in the second. The second baseman collected three hits in four plate appearances against the Rams and is now hitting .314 through 13 games. Nocero,

Pedro Fortoso,
Ross Bartziokas and
Luis Castillo all added one hit to the box score as well.
The Dolphins will look to return to the winning column on Sunday when the take on USMMA in a double header. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
