Men's Volleyball Shuts Out Cougars

Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - After starting the season 3-8 against a number of formidable opponents, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's volleyball team looked to get back on track on Tuesday evening when they took on Medgar Evers College. Fortunately for the Dolphins, they did just that, as they routed the Cougars by the score of 3-0. The home team won by a minimum of 11 throughout each set.

The Dolphins received a number of contribution from all over their roster. Senior Neven Skoblar paced the Dolphins with 18 kills, bringing his season total to 107, an impressive mark through just 12 games. Sophomore Scott Sawyer and senior Sean O'Connor combined for 10 of their own in the winning effort. Junior Jordan Steiger was a major part in CMSV's offensive output, as he aided his teammates with a game-high 27 assists. Freshman Jose Estrella was also a standout performer in the victory, as he had four total blocks against the Cougars.

The Dolphins will look to capitalize on their latest win of the season rather quickly, as they will return to action on Saturday when they head to Hunter College for a tri-match with the Hawks and Springfield College. Their first match is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
