History
The College of Mount Saint Vincent has never competed against Babson College in our school's history, The Dolphins come into the contest sporting a record of 14-16 and are currently riding a three game winning streak. CMSV got hot at the end of their season, winning seven of their last 10 games, which included two upsets in their conference playoffs over the number one seed Merchant Marine and the number three seed St. Joseph's Long Island.

These upsets led the Dolphins to their second Skyline Conference Championship in four years.  Their opponent, Babson, is sitting at a record of 23-8 and has a five game winning streak of their own. The Beavers are coming into the tournament after winning the NEWMAC championship over Springfield College in straight sets.

Players to Watch
The Dolphins. who were second in the conference with 1049 kills on the season. have a tremendous amount of offense and are a fun group to watch. The offense is headlined by junior Tara Maloney. Maloney, who earned her 1000th kill this season, was just named Skyline Conference Player of the Year.

Next in line for the Dolphins is freshmen outside hitter Samantha Schroeder, who is averaging 2.70 kills per set and has 240 kills on the year.  Then there is the versatile freshmen Madison Gale, who impressed in a number of areas in her first season with the Dolphins. Gale, who played a majority of her season as a setter, has developed into much more. The freshman does not leave the court; when she isn't setting, she's swinging for the Dolphins and controlling the net. Gale filled the stat sheet with 14 assists, six kills, six digs and three total blocks in the championship contest. The Dolphins will need these three, along with contributors Alexandra Rio, Rianna Rivera, Patsy Sewell and Alexandra Madden, among others, to be on top of their game on Friday.

Babson, who is also very dynamic on the court, features four players who have reached the 100 kill mark this season. The leader on the team is sophomore Allie Puccio who has 248 kills on the year. Their most talented player is junior setter Elizabeth Cameon, who has registered 716 assists this season and has amounted for 88 kills of her own. The Dolphins will have to figure out how to slow these two down if they want to move forward.
