How It Happened
Set 1
The first set of tonight's matchup featured a back and forth duel between the Dolphins and the Hawks. Despite Hunter coming out on top of the first set, the playing field was close, as CMSV only lost by four.
Alexandra Madden led the Dolphins in kills during set one with four, with
Dez Brown chipping in two on her own.
Set 2
The second set of the volleyball match was firmly in the Hawks' hands, as they finished with a 12-point victory. Despite the team's struggles, junior standout
Tara Maloney did her best to keep her team in it, as she registered matched Madden's total with four kills in the set.
Set 3
The final set of the evening was a close affair that saw Hunter do just enough to get by the Dolphins. In what was a theme throughout the contest, Madden, Brown and Maloney all chipped in with points over the course of the finale.
What's Next?
The Dolphins will continue their string of non-conference matchups when they take on John Jay College in the Sharp Center on October 16. CMSV will look to continue their strong play with Skyline Conference playoffs on the horizon.
