Dolphins Earn Split In Regular Season Finale

CMSV sweeps NJCU, then falls in 3 three Kean



RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Men's Volleyball team wrapped up regular season play on Friday afternoon, hosting Skyline Conference foes NJCU and Kean University in a conference tri-match.

The Dolphins disposed of the Gothic Knights in three sets, winning 25-15, 25-19, 25-12. In their second match of the day, the Mount lost in straight sets to Kean, 18-25, 23-25, 23-25 ending CMSV's regular season with a 16-11 overall record and 7-2 mark in conference play.

The Mount will qualify for the Skyline Conference Championships for the 4th straight season and likely earn the no. 3 seed.

In the first match vs. NJCU, CMSV controlled play, only committing 11 errors for the entire match, en route to hitting .299% as a team. They combined for nine total blocks, as well.

Sean O'Connor tied for the game-high with eight kills, while also adding in five digs and two aces. Skyline Conference Player of the Week Tyler Cucullu and Jordan Steiger each smashed seven kills. Cucullu added two total blocks and two assists, while Steiger had his hand in one assist. 

Setter Logan Dickover had 33 aces, while Neven Skoblar lead all players with four total blocks. 

In the Dolphins second match of the night vs. Kean, the Cougars were solid all around. Both teams were active at the net as KU tallied 10 team blocks to 8 for CMSV. 

Cucullu had a game-high 18 kills to go along with two total blocks and five digs. Dickover led the team with three total blocks, while also dishing out 24 assists and a team-high seven digs.
