WEST HARRISON, NY - The CMSV Baseball team returned to the diamond on Saturday afternoon, hosting Skyline Conference foe, SUNY Old Westbury in both teams regular season conference finale. The Panthers won both games of the doubleheader, taking game one 11-4, then cruising to a 19-4 win in game two.
Game One Notes
Trailing 5-0 entering the bottom of the 6th inning, the Dolphins rallied back to get within one run after 8 innings.
Honorio Pena laced a single to left field, allowing
Luis Castillo to score the Mount's first run of the game.
In the 7th, Castillo, who went 3-for-5, laced a two-run double to left field chasing McEwan and Pasquale home to make it 5-3.
Steven Hansen drove in
Matthew Nesensohn in the 8th with a single to left center to make the score 5-4.
The Panthers scored six times in the top of the 9th, thanks to two home runs to cap off the scoring.
Game Two Notes
The Dolphins got on the board first, thanks to an RBI single by Hansen, which allowed
Emanuel Giumarra to score from second.
From the 3rd-5th innings, the Panthers scored 17 runs.
