Puchalski Nets Hat Trick On Senior Day

The senior now has 78 goals in his career



RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, hosting Farmingdale State in a Skyline Conference game, held at a rainy Marillac Field. The regular season conference finale for both teams, was easily won by the Rams, 23-7. With one game remaining on the 2017 schedule, the Mount sits at 2-11 overall and 0-9 in conference play.

Senior Michael Puchalski, who along with fellow senior, Ken Brown-Oda was honored pre-game for Senior Day, led the Dolphins, scoring three goals. James Fitzgerald added two goals, while Jaiden Martinez and Tyler Porter scored once for CMSV.

The Rams took control of the game from the opening face-off, scoring the game's first six goals in just under seven minutes of action. 

Fitzgerald would net both of his goals back-to-back for the Dolphins in the 1st period, trimming the lead down to 6-2 with 1:24 left in the period. But on the ensuring face-off after his second goal, the Rams controlled the draw and scored to make it 7-2 at the end of 15 minutes of action.

Puchalski would get going in the 2nd period, scoring two of the teams three goals. His second goal of the period trimmed the lead to 8-4 and was set up by fellow senior Brown-Oda.

Farmingdale would take an 11-5 lead into halftime and would come out to dominate the 3rd and 4th periods as well, outscoring CMSV 12-2 in the final 30 minutes of action.
