Dolphins Season Ends With 18-9 Loss at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, PA - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to action on Wednesday night, traveling to Pennsylvania to take on non-conference foe Moravian College in the Dolphins 2017 season finale. The Dolphins couldn't hold a first period lead as they fell 18-9 to the Greyhounds, ending the 2017 campaign with a 2-12 record.

Tyler Porter led the offense for the Mount, as the sophomore netted his 2nd hat trick of the season. David Collins and James Fitzgerald added two goals apiece, and seniors Michael Puchalski and Ken Brown-Oda wrapped up their careers with one goal each in their final collegiate game. 

In the first period, Brown-Oda scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1 just under three minutes into action. The Greyhounds would take the lead with 5:47 left in the opening period but once again the Dolphins responded, as Porter scored his first of the day to tie things up with 3:55 to go. Fitzgerald would give the Dolphins their first lead of the day with his 10th goal of the season with 1:43 left in the period. 

Moravian would get their offense on track in the 2nd period, as they home team would score six goals, turning a 3-2 1st period deficit into a 8-5 halftime lead. In the second half, the Dolphins would be outscored 10-4. 

In addition to his two goals, Fitzgerald also led the team in ground balls (7) and caused turnovers (3). Cadeem Jones went 7-for-23 on face-offs, while also scooping up six ground balls.
