RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting St. Joseph's College-Long Island in a Skyline Conference game, at Marillac Field. Nine different players scored for the visitors, as they earned a 17-6 victory over the Dolphins, who now sit at 2-9 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
Senior
Michael Puchalski scored five goals on the day for the Mount, bringing his season total to 25, which is a career-high. The five goals in a single game ties a career-high, as the senior netted five goals last season in a victory over Green Mountain College.
Tyler Porter scored his 10th goal of the season late in the 4th period.
There were only six goals scored in the 1st and 2nd periods, with the Golden Eagles taking a 5-1 lead at the break. But a nine goal outburst by the visitors in the 3rd period put the game out of reach for the Dolphins.
Christian Brody led the Dolphins with four groundball pickups, while
Jaiden Martinez,
Connor McDonald, Puchalski,
James Fitzgerald and
Ken Brown-Oda all had two pickups each.
