UNION, NJ - The CMSV Men's Lacrosse team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to take on Skyline Conference foe Kean University. KU had 10 players score as they rolled to a 17-4 win, dropping the Mount to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Ken Brown-Oda and
Michael Puchalski each scored two goals for the Dolphins, with Brown-Oda scoring his team leading 11th and 12th, and Puchalski scoring his 10th and 11th on the season.
Kean opened up scoring the first four goals in the 1st period. Brown-Oda got CMSV on the board with 5:30 left in the period to make the score 4-1. With under a minute left in the opening period, Puchalski scored off a pass from
Tyler Porter to bring the Dolphins within two at the end of fifteen minutes of action.
The Cougars regained their four goal advantage less than five minutes into play in the second period but Brown-Oda netted his second of the game at the 7:53 mark.
After that goal, Kean would outscore CMSV 11-1.
Christian Brody played all 60 minutes in net, and despite allowing 17 goals, the freshman stopped 24 shots, which is the second most in CMSV Men's Lacrosse history.
