Dolphins Win 2 At Skyline Tri-Match

CMSV downs Sarah Lawrence and Purchase

BRONXVILLE, NY - The CMSV Men's Volleyball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Sarah Lawrence College to participate in a Skyline Conference Tri-match. The Dolphins swept both their opponents, first downing the host Gryphons in three sets, then disposing of Purchase College in three sets as well. The two victories improve the Mount's record to 7-9 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Senior Tyler Cucullu came into the weekend needing only 12 kills to become the second player in Men's Volleyball history to reach 1,000 career kills and the Las Vegas native reached that mark late in the Dolphins match against Purchase.

The Dolphins dominated in their first match against Sarah Lawrence. On 83 swings, over three sets, CMSV hit .217, while smashing 39 kills, compared to -.133% for SLC and six total kills.

Scott Sawyer and Sean O'Connor paced the Dolphins with 10 kills each, while Neven Skoblar added six. Skoblar also added a career-high with seven aces.

In the second match vs. the Panthers,  play was once again dominated by the Mount. Cucullu led the attack with 12 kills, while O'Connor added six more, as did Jordan Steiger

Cucullu also chipped in at the net recording four total blocks and serving six aces, one off his season-high. Logan Dickover total 46 assists in the two matches.
