JAMAICA, NY - The CMSV Men's Volleyball team returned to action on Wednesday night, traveling to Queens to take on non-conference foe York College. The Dolphins won their third straight match, with a 3-0 sweep (25-10, 25-13, 25-16) over the Cardinals, to improve to 8-9 on the season.
The Mount was more precise than the home side, only committing 11 errors on 69 swings, compared to 16 York errors on 57 swings. As a team, CMSV hit .232%, while York hit a negative percent of -.018%.
Neven Skoblar had seven aces for the second time in three games, tying a career-high. The junior also added in four kills and two total blocks.
Owen Smith led the attack totaling a game-high nine kills, while
Scott Sawyer added seven kills, six kills, one block and one ace.
Tyler Cucullu stepped into the primary setter role for the night and the senior delivered 23 assists.
