CASTINE, ME - The CMSV Women's Lacrosse returned to action on Sunday afternoon, traveling to Maine to take on Maine Maritime in a non-conference matchup.
Alicia Forgione and
Shannon Dalton both netted hat tricks to lead the Dolphins to a 9-3 win, their first of the 2017 season.
For Forgione, this was the junior's second hat trick of the season and team leading 10th goal. Dalton, a freshman, has scored five goals in the Mount's last two games, bringing her season total to seven.
Georgiana Trizano scored twice bringing her season total to seven, and
Paulina Mandujano was the other goal scorer for CMSV.
Gabriella Marinese started in net for the Dolphins, making eight saves to earn her first win of the season.
Less than a minute into action, the home side went up 1-0 but the Dolphins responded scoring the next four goals over the next 10 minutes of action. They would add three more before halftime to take a 7-2 lead into the locker room.
When play resumed in the second half, the Mount wasted little time adding to their lead, with Forgione completing her hat trick a little over one minute into play.
