RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Women's Basketball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, hosting Skyline Conference foe Purchase College. The Dolphins swept the season series over the Panthers for the third straight season, winning 89-47, to improve to 16-7 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
Brittany Carroll led all scorers with 18 points, on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from 3-point land.
Dez Brown chipped in with 14 poins and a team-high eight rebounds, while
Christina Barone had her third points/assists double-double of the season, as the senior went for 12 points and 10 assists.
The Mount controlled the game from the start, as the team built up a double-digit lead less than 10 minutes into action. The team shot 66% from the field and connected on 70% from 3-point land in the opening 10 minutes, to lead 35-12 after one.
All 15 dressed members of the team recorded a stat, whether it point, rebound, assist, steal or block. 14 of the 15 dressed players scored a point.
The Dolphins lead would grow to as much as 46 points late in the fourth quarter with the game well in hand.
With two games left in the season, the Dolphins currently sit in 3rd place in the Skyline Conference standings with games against Yeshiva and Farmingdale State left on the schedule.
