Dolphins Earn 2-1 Win Over Sarah Lawrence

CMSV Improves To 2-0 In Skyline Play

RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Men's Soccer team ended their three game losing streak on Saturday afternoon, with a 2-1 win over Skyline Conference foe Sarah Lawrence. The victory pushed the Dolphins record to 3-5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Despite dominating possession and the tempo throughout the game, the Dolphins conceded the first goal of the game in the 26' when they were unable to clear the ball from inside the 18 yard box.

However in the 39' Joseph Llamuca equalized for the Dolphins as he put away a free ball off a corner kick from Kevin Jardines

The Mount put seven of their 16 first half shots on target, forcing the SLC keeper into making sprawling saves. Over the course of the entire game, the Dolphins out shot Sarah Lawrence 35-6, while putting a total of 13 on target.

Jardines would net the game-winner for CMSV in the 53' on a beautiful setup by team mate Andrew Gomez's free kick.
