RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV Men's Soccer team took over Marillac Field on Wednesday afternoon, facing off against the Manhattanville Valiants in the first game of a CMSV Soccer Doubleheader.

The Dolphins got on the scoreboard first but were ultimately done in by a first half hat trick by Valiants #10 Omar Parra and lost the non-conference matchup 4-2, putting the Mount's record so far in 2016 at 2-5-1.

CMSV #8 Guy Horcasitas netted his first goal of 2016 just 5' into the game, as he was set up by teammates Rodrigo Silva and Kevin Jardines

Manhattanville answered just four minutes later when Parra netted his first of three to even the score. Parra's second & third goals came in the 21' & 38' as he led his team to a 3-1 halftime lead.

Despite the deficit, the Dolphins out shot the Valiants in the first half seven to five but the visitors still held the lead.

In the second half CMSV once again provided plenty of pressure, testing their opponents keeper with 10 shots but only getting three on target. In the 55' Manhattanville would get their fourth goal of the day off the foot of Christoffer Staahl.

In the last minute of the second half, senior Alexi Aguilar would burry his first goal of the season to give the Dolphins their second goal of the day and the game its final score.
