RIVERDALE, NY - Both CMSV soccer teams were in action on Sunday afternoon, with the Men's team taking on Skyline Conference rival Yeshiva University at Marillac Field and the Women's team in action against Bryn Mawr University.
CMSV vs. Bryn Mawr - 3-1, Win
Looking for their third straight victory, the Dolphins were led by their top two early season performers,
Julia McGowan and
Kelly Gibison, the two lone goal scorers for the Mount, for Gibison it was her fourth straight game with a point.
After a scoreless first half, which saw the Dolphins take eight shots and earn four corner kicks, it was a Bryn Mawr foul in the penalty area in the 49' that allowed
Julia McGowan to net her fifth goal of the season to put the team up 1-0.
McGowan was heard from later on as she set up Gibison in the 80' with a pass from the left side to put the Mount up 2-0
Keeper
Elizabeth Martin played the entire match and was called on to make only two saves, with one of them coming while the Dolphins still only held a 1-0 lead. CMSV's offensive pressure in the late second half ensured a Bryn Mawr comeback would not be in the cards.
CMSV vs. Yeshiva - 2-1, Win
The Men's soccer team closed out a weekend home double-header with their first Skyline Conference matchup of the season, as the team took on Yeshiva.
It was a tale of two halves for the Mount as the Dolphins fell behind 1-0 in the 28' but came in in the second half and out shot YU 13-2.
The Dolphins deservedly equalized in the 74' when

Rodrigo Silva, who received a cross from Jardines and put it away to give the Dolphins a 2-1 lead.
The final moments of the game were marred by four red cards, in total, CMSV received four red cards, while Yeshiva received 1.
