RIVERDALE, NY - The six team field for the 2016 Skyline Conference Softball Championships was finalized on Monday and the CMSV Dolphins earned the #3 seed after compiling a 14-4 record in regular season conference play.
The Dolphins had a 19-15 record during the 2016 season and will begin their chase for a championship on Wednesday April 27 at 4pm when they will take on #6 seed Purchase College. The game will be played on the campus of Mercy College.
The Dolphins and Panthers played twice during the regular season, with CMSV coming away with walk-off wins in both games back on April 14.
CMSV was led by sophomore
Rachel Heizer, who busted out this year, leading the Skyline Conference in batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. She was fourth in the conference in hits and RBI and second in home-runs with eight.
