RIVERDALE, NY - The CMSV men's lacrosse team will pledge their final two home games on 4/16 vs. Montclair St. and 4/23 vs. Kean University, as a fundraising effort for the nonprofit organization the HEADstrong Foundation.

The HEADstrong Foundation has a mission to improve the quality of life for the cancer patients and their families through providing essential services and support.

The team, led by head coach Andrew Wendol, has ordered shirts and helmet decals that the student-athletes will wear during warm-ups and the game, both Dolphins opponents, Montclair St. and Kean will wear HEADstrong decals during the game as well. Fans in attendance for both home games at Marrillac Field will be able to purchase HEADstrong gear.

"I am a strong believer that giving back to society is very important and want to make my players of the impact they can have," said coach Wendol. "It's a privilege to be able to play lacrosse and the fact that HEADstrong was started by a lacrosse family, it feels natural to give back through the game we all love."

All members of the team are eager to help raise the money. They are seeking to raise $5,000 and will be sending out emails and using their social media accounts to promote their involvement with this worthy cause.
