Tyler Cucullu responded by tallying three kills to help pull his team to within six points but Vassar countered by winning six straight points to take a 21-9 lead and would cruise to close out the set 25-14.

The Dolphins put together a solid effort in the second set as they hit .235%.. Early on Vassar went up 7-3 but the Dolphins were able to win six of the next eight points to tie the match at 9 apiece. Both teams would go through a rough spell with bad passes and attack errors but Vassar would take control winning five of six points tot take a 23-17 lead and cruise to a set victory.

Early on in the third set the Dolphins played close with crisp passing and strong attack but with Vassar up 8-6, they would go on an 11-3 run to take a commanding 19-9 lead and close out the set to secure the match win.
