After falling behind 2-0 early in game one, Mount Saint Vincent responded with a single run in the fourth inning on Brodesser's first round tripper of the season and moved in front 3-2 in the fifth when
Craig Weber (Mineola, N.Y.) drove in Pace on a groundout and
Keith Schroeher (Riverhead, N.Y.) raced home on a wild pitch.
Mount Saint Vincent's lead in the opener would be short lived as Old Westbury plated six runs in the top of the sixth and single runs in the seventh and ninth innings to pull away for the seven run victory. The big sixth inning featured five hits for the Panthers, including a two-run single from Nick Yip.
Old Westbury outhit Mount Saint Vincent 14-4 in game one and had nine different players with at least one hit and five players with two hits in the contest. Jonathan Pagan finished with two hits and two runs scored with Yip and Christian Faust each driving in a pair of runs for the visitors.
Pace, Schroeher and Brodesser all scored runs for Mount Saint Vincent in the opener and half of the team's four hits went for extra bases. Brodesser hit the team's third home run of the weekend and freshman
Matthew Nesensohn (Staten Island, N.Y.) hit his first double of the season.

Nicholas Recarte (Hackensack, N.J.) took the game one loss for the Mount after working 5.2 innings and allowing just three earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out two and walked three in his second start of the season. Tyler Kapela picked up the win for Old Westbury with 5.0 innings of work. Three relief pitchers combined to throw four scoreless innings for the Panthers, including Justin Mize who fanned three in 2.0 innings.
In game two on Sunday, Old Westbury opened the game up early with five runs in the first and third innings and seven runs in the fourth. The Panthers scored at least one run in each of their seven at-bats in game two and finished the game with four home runs, including grand slams from Robert Crocitto and Tommy Ziegen.
The Panthers had 14 players with a hit in game two, as they outhit the Mount 21-5. Ziegen went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and six RBI for Old Westbury with Yip going 3-for-3 with two runs and a pair of RBI.
Pace picked up three of the team's five hits in game two, going 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Brandon Pasquale (Staten Island, N.Y.) and
Joseph Senisi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored one run for the Dolphins.
Junior
Joseph Crosser (Cutchogue, N.Y.) suffered the loss in game two after working 2.0 innings. Tim Ingram picked up with win for Old Westbury, striking out seven in 5.0 innings of work.
Following Sunday's sweep, Mount Saint Vincent stands at 4-10 overall on the season and 3-3 in Skyline Conference play. Next up for the Dolphins is a non-conference contest at USMMA on Tuesday. First pitch with the Mariners is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
