Michael Barfield (Farmingville, N.Y.) handed out a career-high 25 assists on Wednesday night as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team scored a 25-12, 25-8, 25-12 non-conference win over York.

Mount Saint Vincent was never challenged in the match and hit a season best .417 as a team on Wednesday. The Dolphins hit better than .300 in all three frames and better than .400 in the first two stanzas, including an efficient .474 in the middle set.

Barreda rounded out the night hitting .600 for the Dolphins, posting 10 kills against just one attack error in 15 attempts. He closed out the night with three digs and a block in the victory. Senior
Brett Holiday (Stratford, N.J.) hit .545 for the Mount with six kills and freshman
Neven Skoblar (San Pedro, Calif.) put away five kills for the Dolphins and added four service aces.

T.J. Barczik (Lake Grove, N.Y.) finished the night with seven digs and
Reginald Owens (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded a pair of kills and two blocks for the Dolphins.

Serving as the team's primary setter for the first time in 2015, Barfield handed out 25 assists to lead all players in the match and added an ace and four digs.

Overall on the night, Mount Saint Vincent finished with a 31-15 advantage in kills and a 9-0 edge in service aces. The Mount also totaled five total team blocks in the match.

With Wednesday's victory, Mount Saint Vincent stands at 3-1 overall. The Dolphins will open Skyline Conference play on February 14 when it travels to Sage to take on the Gators and NJCU.Â
