PURCHASE, NY - The CMSV Women's Basketball team took on Purchase College on Wednesday night, defeating their Skyline Conference foe 69-53, improving to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Skyline play.
Thresea Carey led all scorers, tying her career high with 18 points, including going 4-of-5 from 3-point land.
Christina Barone chipped in with 17 points and nine assists, while
Brittany Carroll shot 3-of-5 from distance en route to 14 points.
The Dolphins led 35-27 at halftime thanks in part to stellar defense and three point shooting. CMSV held the Panthers to 21% shooting from the field over the first 20 minutes and made five three pointers.
In the third period the Dolphins maintained their offense output and pushed their lead to as much as 15 points with 2:46 left after Carroll nailed a three.
In the closing period CMSV was able to continue their offense push and grow their lead to a game-high 21 points after Carey capped off a personal 10-0 run during a four minute stretch.
The Dolphins return to action Saturday December 5, when they will host Mount Saint Mary's College at 1pm in the Peter Jay Sharp Center. Check out the team schedule for links for live stats and live video.
