Nassau, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Wrestling team was back in action on Saturday at the Long Island Open. Junior
Vincent Lombardo (East Meadow, N.Y.) paced the Dolphins with three bout wins and a fourth place individual finish on the day.

Competing in the 157 pound weight class, Lombardo picked up wins in each of his first two bouts by way of fall. His first victory came 1:10 into his initial bout of the day and his second came just 50 seconds into the winner's bracket contest. After falling in his third bout, Lombardo rebounded to pin his fourth opponent in the first round to advance to the third place bout.

Following a strong performance at the Long Island Open, Mount Saint Vincent will be back on the mat on January 10 when it hosts the third annual Dolphin Invitational. Bouts on Saturday are set to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
