Kalibat makes 19 saves, Pat McEnaney totals three points

Yonkers, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Lacrosse team fell for the third straight time on Saturday afternoon following a hard fought 10-6 loss to league for Kean. Senior goalie Kyle Kalibat (Oceanside, N.Y.) made 19 saves for the Dolphins, while junior Pat McEnaney (New York, N.Y.) led the offensive attack with three points.
 
Mount Saint Vincent would take a 2-1 lead in the first quarter following back-to-back goals from Dom Scipioni (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Michael Puchalski (Yorktown, N.Y.). Puchalski potted his 20th goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1 with 6:42 left in the quarter and Scipioni scored his first career goal with 4:10 left in the period to give the Dolphins their only lead of the game.
 
Kean answered the Mount Saint Vincent run with the next three goals, scoring three times in the final 2:26 of the first period to take a 4-2 lead after 15 minutes of play. Richard Cheifitz led the charge with a goal and an assist for the Cougars.
 
The visitors would extend the scoring run to four straight with a Matt Speciale goal at the 11:06 mark of the second quarter to push Kean in front 5-2, before the Mount tallied two of the final three goals of the half to pull to within 6-4 at the break. Petito scored off a feed from Germain Ngaba (Bronx, N.Y.) and Pat McEnaney (New York, N.Y.) buried a pass from Mike McEnaney (New York, N.Y.) with two seconds left before halftime.
 
The Pat McEnaney goal would be the last for the Dolphins until he scored his second of the game with 1:15 left in regulation. Mike McEnaney would close out the scoring when he finished off a Pat McEnaney pass with a half minute left in the tilt.
 
Pat McEnaney finished the game with two goals and an assist for the Dolphins to go along with two groundballs and a caused turnover. Mike McEnaney posted a goal and assist for the Mount.
 
Junior Frank Maddaloni (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Mount with six groundballs on Saturday and added a caused turnover. Joe Esposito (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Scipioni each caused a pair of turnovers in the game with Esposito picking up four groundballs.
 
Kean got two goals and two assists from Cheifitz in the game who also totaled eight groundballs. John Marcelli scored three times and posted five points in the game for the Cougars. Mike Criscitello led the team with nine groundballs and won 12 of the 14 face-offs he took.
 
Kalibat continued his strong senior season in goal for the Dolphins after stopping 19 Kean shots in 55:13 of action. He stopped eight shots in the third quarter alone and finished the game with four groundballs. Dino Vitale picked up the win in goal after stopping eight shots and scooping three groundballs.
 
Kean rounded out the game outshooting the Mount 57-27 overall and 32-14 in shots on goal. Groundballs also went to Kean 45-28 and the Cougars dominated face-offs on Saturday 15-4.
 
Saturday's loss dips Mount Saint Vincent to below .500 overall on the season at 5-6 and drops it to 0-4 in Skyline Conference play. Next up for the Dolphins is a league date at Farmingdale State on April 16. Face-off with the Rams is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
