St. Joseph's-L.I. would answer with two runs in the third inning to tie the score at 3-3, but the Mount rallied again with three more runs in the home half of the inning to move in front 6-3. After Davis and Heizer singled, freshman Kierstyn Bourdeau (Cheshire, Conn.) ripped her first career home run.

The Golden Eagles would add two more runs in the fourth and a run in the fifth, but could not hold Mont Saint Vincent off the scoreboard.
