Staten Island, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Baseball team dropped a non-conference road game on Friday evening at Staten Island by a score of 14-2. Freshman
Keith Schroeher (Riverhead, N.Y.) extended his hitting steak to nine games.
Schroeher finished Friday's game 2-for-4 out of the leadoff spot and moves into a tie for seventh for the longest hitting streak in program history. He is three games shy of tying
Josh Sharpe (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), Tanner Monroe and Al Schor for the program record of hitting safely in 12 consecutive games.
Staten Island broke Friday's game open with three runs in the first off of Mount Saint Vincent starter

Schroeher was one of three Dolphins with two hits in the game, joining Esposito who also went 2-for-4 and
Keith Brodesser (Copiague, N.Y.) who went 2-for-3. Rivera went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored with Santo adding a hit and a run scored.
Palmeri rounded out the game 2-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBI. He was one of five Staten Island players to drive in at least two runs and one of four players with two hits. Chris Ramanaukas added three runs scored.
DiLascio took the loss for Mount Saint Vincent after working 1.2 innings.
Ryan Schlichter (Southold, N.Y.) worked a scoreless inning of relief for the Dolphins, striking out one. John Baggs took the win after allowing one run and striking out five in 6.0 innings of work.
Friday's loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-19 overall on the season. The Dolphins will return to league play on Saturday when take on NYU-POLY. The doubleheader will be played at Old Westbury and will start at 12:00 p.m.
