Junior Josh Sharpe (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) had three hits for the Mount in game one and freshman Keith Schroeher (Riverhead, N.Y.) extended his hitting streak to 18 games.

Mount Saint Vincent took its first lead of the day in game one with a pair of runs in the second inning to pull in front 2-1. The Dolphins strung together four hits in the frame with Schroeher delivering Leutrim 'Tim' Hoxha (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and Joseph Senisi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) pushing home Schroeher with two out singles.

After the two teams exchanged runs in the third inning, Old Westbury jumped in front 5-3 with two runs in the fourth and a single run in the fifth before the Dolphins rallied with three tallies in the home half of the fifth to regain a 6-5 lead.

Chris Sideli (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led off the fifth with a double for the Dolphins and later scored on a Kevin Coogan (Bronx, N.Y.) single. Senisi drew a bases loaded walk to drive home Hoxha and Sharpe delivered Coogan with a sacrifice fly.

Clinging to a one run lead, the Dolphins saw the Panthers plate two runs in the sixth and seventh innings to retake the lead at 9-6. John Angelino ripped a two-run double in the sixth for Old Westbury and Jacob Coners drove home a pair of runs in the seventh with a single.

Mount Saint Vincent would get a run back in the eighth on a run scoring groundout from Jason Rivera (Bronx, N.Y.) and would put the tying runs on base in the ninth but could not get the game squared.

Sharpe finished off game one 3-for-5 for Mount Saint Vincent with an RBI and Schroeher went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI out of the leadoff spot. Sideli and Coogan each collected two hits for the Dolphins and scored a run in the game, with Hoxha scoring twice.

Matthew Andress earned the win in relief for Old Westbury, working 3.0 innings and allowing one run. Alex DiSanto picked up the save with 1.2 scoreless innings of work.

In game two, Old Westbury jumped in front early with three runs in the first inning and one more in the fourth. The Panthers only needed one hit in the first inning and took advantage of three walks. Valerio scored the first run on a balk and Jeremy Delgado scored on a wild pitch.

Leading 4-0, Old Westbury broke the game open with four runs in the fourth and two runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Delgado drove in a run and scored once in the big fourth inning, while Jonathan Pagan drove in two runs with a double for the Panthers in the fourth inning.

Mount Saint Vincent would get on the board in the fifth inning with its only run of the game when Coogan scored from second on an infield hit. Senisi dribbled a ball up the first base line with one out and with no one covering the plate, Coogan scampered home with the Dolphins' only run of the contest.

Mount Saint Vincent was held to only four hits in game two with Schroeher extending his program best hitting streak to 18 games with a single in the third inning. Senisi, Sharpe and Coogan added the other hits in the game for the Dolphins.
