Brooklyn, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team had the 2013 season come to a close on Wednesday night with an 18-25, 19-25 and 27-29 loss on the road at NYU-POLY.
Brett Holiday (Stratford, N.J.) and
Dylan Lolli (Sicklerville, N.J.) led the offensive attack with seven kills each.
Lolli finished the match hitting .333 for the Dolphins after committing two attack errors in 15 attempts. He also added three digs and a service ace for Mount Saint Vincent against the Jays.
Holiday closed out his strong sophomore season with seven kills and sits atop the team leader board with 218 kills. He also paced the team in 2013 with 2.37 kills per set. Holiday closed out Wednesday's contest with a dig and a block for the Dolphins.
Gerard Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) totaled six kills against NYU-POLY and two blocks, while
Tyler Egan (Laurel Springs, N.J.) led the Dolphins with a pair of service aces.
James DiGiovanni (Bay Shore, N.Y.) posted 19 assists and two blocks for Mount Saint Vincent.
NYU-POLY received 15 kills and six service aces from Fild Kroqi on Wednesday and Michael Roche added 13 winners and a .409 attack percentage. Rishi Sarkar handed out 32 assists for the Jays and lifted nine digs.
The Jays closed the night with the advantage in kills 38-26, aces 7-3 digs 21-11 and total team blocks 6-5.
Mount Saint Vincent closes the season with a 7-21 overall record and a 4-10 record in Skyline Conference play.
