Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball squad dropped its third match in its last four outings on Thursday night following an 18-25, 21-25 and 16-25 loss to visiting Lehman.
Brett Holiday (Stratford, N.J.) led the Mount with nine kills, while freshman
Tyler Egan (Laurel Springs, N.J.) lifted 11 digs.
The Dolphins struggled in each set, committing 23 attack errors against 22 kills in the contest. Mount Saint Vincent also committed 16 service errors on the night, while recording just four service errors.
Holiday finished the night with nine kills and also added four digs and a block.
Dylan Lolli (Sicklerville, N.J.) contributed five kills for the Dolphins and also added four digs on the night.
James DiGiovanni (Bay Shore, N.Y.) assisted on 19 of the team's 22 kills Thursday night and chipped in with seven digs.
Gerard Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) led the way with three total blocks, with Egan equaling the match-high with 11 digs.
Lehman got a match-high 12 kills from Brian Francisco, with Francisco adding six defensive digs. Manuel Bonilla added six winners and 11 digs, while chipping in with two of the team's three service aces. Luis Colon rounded out the night with 20 assists, three digs and three blocks.
For the night, Lehman closed the night with a 29-22 advantage in kills and a 5-3 edge in total team blocks. Digs in the contest were even at 34-34, with the Dolphins recording a 4-3 advantage in aces.
Thursday's loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 4-12 overall on the season. The Dolphins will return to action on Saturday when they play host to Washington Adventist. Match time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
