Dolphins Downed In Four Sets At Lehman

Bronx, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team was upended in four sets at cross-town rival Lehman on Tuesday night by set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 19-25 and 22-25. Sophomore Brett Holiday (Stratford, N.J.) was one of two Dolphins in double-figures in kills and matched his career-high with 18 on the night.
 
Holiday reached double-figures in winners for the fifth time this season and led all players in the match in both kills and attacks with 52. He hit .212 on the night for the Mount and also added four digs and a pair of blocks.
 
Freshman Dylan Lolli (Sicklerville, N.Y.) recorded 11 kills for Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday and lifted eight digs. He closed out a strong night with an ace and two total blocks. Gerard Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) rounded out the night with four kills and a team-high five total blocks.
 
Sophomore James DiGiovanni (Bay Shore, N.Y.) recorded 29 assists on the night for the Dolphins to go along with two kills and seven digs. Tyler Egan equaled the match-high in digs with 20, with Timothy Kolodny (Woodland Hills, Calif.) lifting 11 for the Mount.
 
Brian Francisco led Lehman in the tilt with 16 kills and 20 digs, with Manuel Bonilla totaling 12 winners and posting 13 digs. Luis Colon handed out 35 assists in the match, while Francisco and Andrew Morejon each recorded three service aces.
 
For the match, Lehman held the advantage in kills 43-39 and in digs 57-55. Mount Saint Vincent finished the night with a 7-4 edge in total team blocks.
 
Mount Saint Vincent falls to 5-18 overall on the season following Tuesday's loss. The Dolphins will be back in action again on April 1 when they travel to Sarah Lawrence. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
