Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team ran its winning streak to four matches on Saturday with non-conference home wins over Lehman and Bard. The Dolphins downed the Lightning by scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-22 and 25-23 and topped the Raptors 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21 and 15-13. Senior Joe Ecock (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a big day and totaled 43 kills over the two matches, including a career-high 26 against Bard.
 
Mount Saint Vincent avenged its season opening loss in five sets to Lehman in Saturday's opener with the 3-1 victory. The Dolphins hit .313 as a team in the contest, putting away 56 kills against only 14 errors.
 
Senior captain Chris Bacchi (Hicksville, N.Y.) matched his career-high with 19 kills in the match and hit .372 for the Dolphins. He also picked up a service ace, a dig and a total block against the Lightning.
 
Ecock opened his big day with 17 winners against Lehman on his way to a .371 hitting percentage. He also picked up two aces, a pair of blocks and six digs in the win for Mount Saint Vincent.
 
Freshman Brett Holiday (Stratford, N.J.) rounded out a trio in double figures with 11 kills and a blistering .455 attack percentage. Holiday also finished with three of the team's five total team blocks.
 
Timothy Kolodny (Woodland Hills, Calif.) bested his previous career-high of 19 digs with 20 against Lehman and senior Michael Sin (Hicksville, N.Y.) rounded out a double-double effort with 12 digs and 46 assists.
 
In the second match of the day, the Dolphins pushed their winning streak to four matches with a hard fought five set victory. Ecock led the way after smashing his previous career-high of 17 kills with his 26. He also chipped in with seven digs.
 
Bacchi continued his steady senior campaign with 17 winners as he hit an efficient .395 for the Dolphins. He recorded his third double-double of the season after lifting 20 digs to go along with a solo block.
 
James DiGiovanni (Bay Shore, N.Y.) chipped in with four kills against Bard and also lifted a career-high 15 digs. Kolodny rounded out a strong day on the back row with 18 digs against Bard and Sin handed out a career-high 48 assists and lifted nine digs.
 
Nick Chan had a huge day for the Raptors on Saturday after leading all players with 28 kills. Henry Kasiske handed out 46 assists and Adnrew Cortrite lifted a team-high 16 digs for the Raptors.
 
Overall, Mount Saint Vincent totaled 56 kills to 50 for Bard and made six fewer attack errors then the visitors. The Dolphins also held a slim edge in total team blocks at 6-5, with DiGiovanni and Holiday leading the way with two each.
 
The sweep on Saturday pushes Mount Saint Vincent's overall record to 10-12 on the season. The Dolphins will look for five in a row on Monday night when they play host to John Jay on Senior Night. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
