Brooklyn, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team won its second straight match on Tuesday with a impressive 3-0 win on the road at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. Seniors Chris Bacchi (Hicksville, N.Y.) and Joe Ecock (Brooklyn, N.Y.) combined for 27 kills in the match the Dolphins won by scores of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-10.
 
Mount Saint Vincent never trailed and was never tied in the match and got off to a fast start after hitting .452 in the opening set. The Dolphins eased to a 1-0 lead after jumping out to a commanding 11-0 lead. Bacchi and Ecock combined for eight kills over the opening run.
 
The Dolphins hit just .192 in the second frame, but allowed only three St. Joseph's kills to take the 2-0 lead in the match. The Dolphins closed out the non-conference win after posting a blistering .750 hitting percentage and collecting 16 kills in the third stanza.
 
Bacchi finished the match hitting an impressive .591 and putting away 14 kills against just one error. He also lifted five digs in the victory. Ecock totaled 13 winners in the match and hit .688 to go along with two aces and a block.
 
James DiGiovanni (Bay Shore, N.Y.) also contributed to the strong offensive attack with eight kills and a .353 hitting percentage. He also recorded six assists and lifted a pair of digs. Michael Sin (Hicksville, N.Y.) handed out 27 assists and totaled a match-high four aces.
 
Mount Saint Vincent closed out the match hitting .442 and totaled 44 kills against just 10 errors. The Dolphins also lifted 25 digs in the match, led by eight from Timothy Kolodny (Woodland Hills, Calif.).
 
With the win, Mount Saint Vincent moves to 8-12 overall on the season. The Dolphins will look to extend its winning streak on Saturday when it plays host to non-conference foes Lehman and Bard. The tri-match is set to get underway at 10:00 a.m.
