Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Softball team had its losing streak extended to four games on Wednesday after dropping a doubleheader to Gordon by scores of 17-0 and 13-5. Three Dolphins recorded a pair of hits in game two, including Katherine Postel (Queens, N.Y.) who added a pair of RBI.
Nora Chivelly (Suffern, N.Y.) finished game two with a pair of safeties for the Dolphins, joining Psotel and Marni O'Shea (White Plains, N.Y.). O'Shea added an RBI for the Mount and scored a pair of runs in the second contest.
Ciarra Silva (Bronx, N.Y.), Leeann Cerbone (Bronx, N.Y.) and Joanna Makayan (Queens, N.Y.) each scored a run for Mount Saint Vincent.
The sweep on Wednesday drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-4 overall on the season. The Dolphins will look for their first win of the season on Thursday when they take on Gettysburg. First pitch for the doubleheader is slated for 9:00 a.m.
