After the Dolphins added the eventual game winning run in the bottom of the third, the Aggies got on the board after a Jim Calabrese RBI single. Delaware Valley added another run in the sixth on a Mike Otstot single, before it made the game tight with a three run seventh.

Trailing 8-2 in the seventh, the Aggies loaded the bases with two when Jake Barben cleared the off with a three run double to bring his team to within 8-5. Delaware Valley would add a run in the ninth, but Brian Rush (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) closed the door for the Dolphins with his first career save.
