straight league contest on Saturday after a 20-6 loss to Kean University. Junior

After the two teams traded tallies over the first three minutes of the game, the Cougars ran off 10 straight goals until Derek Valance netted his first of the day at the 10:08 mark of the second quarter.
Ahmed Ajao gave the Dolphins back-to-back markers at the 6:41 mark of the second, but an Anthony Bertucci goal in the final two seconds of the half sent Kean into the intermission with a commanding 14-4 advantage.
Kean would go on to outscore Mount Saint Vincent 6-2 in the second 30 minutes on Saturday, including 3-0 in the third period. The Dolphins would tally both of their goals in the final quarter, with Cavan Valance scoring 30 seconds into the frame and Derek following with his second marker with 2:42 left in regulation.
The Cougars had 13 players score a goal in the game, with four scoring at least two. Bertucci led the way with four goals on the day, while C.J. Gannon added a goal and four of Kean's 12 assists. Two Kean goalies combined to make 10 saves on the afternoon.
Dan Cohen (Ardsley, N.Y.), Ajao and Miller Celestian (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added the other Mount Saint Vincent goals with Ken Valentine picking up a team-high seven groundballs. Chris Guastamacchia (Goshen, N.Y.) won 12 face-offs for the Dolphins and Mike Nuzzi (Westbury, N.Y.) stopped 13 Kean shots.
The Cougars held the edge in the team stat categories as well on Saturday, posting a 52-24 edge in shots and a 45-34 advantage in groundballs. The Cougars won 17 of the 30 face-offs in the tilt and turnovers were 24-20 against the Mount.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 5-6 overall on the season and to 0-2 in Skyline Conference play. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Monday night when they host Mount Saint Mary at Tibbetts Brook Park. Opening face-off with the Blue Knights is set for 7:00 p.m.
