Dolphins Swept By Gothic Knights In NECVA Metro Matchup

Jersey City University Monday night in a NECVA Metro Division match. The Gothic Knights earned the

victory with game scores of 15-30, 17-30 and 19-30. Junior setter Michael Quinn (Wantagh, N.Y.) finished the night with 21 assists for the Dolphins.

 

Mount Saint Vincent struggled on the offensive end on Monday night, hitting -.141 for the match. The Dolphins converted 23 kills against NJCU and committed 35 attack errors in 85 total attempts. Rob Hockenjos (West Hempstead, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with seven kills in the tilt and also chipped in with a defensive dig.

 

Quinn assisted on 21 of the Mount's 23 kills on Monday night and also recorded a solo block. David Guerrero (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Matt Krauszer (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) finished the night with six and five kills respectively, with Guerrero lifting six digs and Krauszer posting a pair of block assists.

 

The Gothic Knights were led by Kenny Lisk who finished with nine kills and five digs. Felipe Siqueira handed out a match-high 25 assists for NJCU and Davis Obi converted four total blocks.

 

The loss on Monday drops the Dolphins back to .500 overall on the season at 14-14 overall and moves them to 4-3 in NECVA Metro play. Mount Saint Vincent will be back on the court for another divisional match on Wednesday night when it travels to New Paltz. The contest with the Hawks is set for 7:00 p.m.
