NEW YORK, NY – The Men's Volleyball team at the College of Mount Saint Vincent swept the season

Mike Quinn recorded eight kills and 12 assists on Thursday at Yeshiva.

series from Yeshiva on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over the Maccabees. Scores of the match were 30-11, 30-23, and 30-5 in favor of the Dolphins. Mount Saint Vincent had three players record eight kills in the match, as the Dolphins won their 10th contest of the season.

A trio of freshman led the Mount on Thursday, as John Furka (Massapequa, NY), Mike Quinn (Wantagh, NY), and David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) each recorded eight winners. Furka would add three service aces, three defensive digs and four total blocks on the night, while Guerrero posted a match-high five service aces to go along with five digs.

Quinn recorded a hitting percentage of .385 against the Maccabees on Thursday and also contributed three service aces, 10 defensive digs and 12 assists. Fellow setter Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY) led the team in helpers with 21 and also posted three aces and three digs.

Junior Fitzroy Lawson (Kingston, Jamaica) also had a solid outing on Thursday night, as he recorded seven kills, as well as a service ace, five digs and a pair of total blocks.

Overall as a team, Mount Saint Vincent posted 37 kills, 15 service aces and 42 digs. The Dolphins had four players recorded at least three service aces in the contest. Mount Saint Vincent also posted seven total team blocks in the match.

The win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 10-14 overall on the season and pushes its Skyline Conference record to 5-2. The Dolphins will return to action on Monday, March 10 when they host Purchase. The match at Hayes Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
