over Yeshiva on Tuesday.

losing skid on Tuesday night with Skyline Conference wins over Purchase and Yeshiva at Hayes Gymnasium. The Mount defeated Purchase in four games by scores of 21-30, 30-22, 30-20, 30-27 and then needed all five games to down Yeshiva by scores of 25-30, 25-30, 30-10, 31-29 and 16-14.
In the opener, Rob Hockenjos (West Hempstead, N.Y.) equaled the match-high with 15 kills and was one of two Dolphins to reach double-figures in the category. He also totaled 12 digs in the tilt and totaled four block assists.
Sophomore Matt Krauszer (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) joined Hockenjos in double-figures in kills against Purchase with 12 winners. He paced the Dolphins in hitting percentage at .226 and was also active at the net with four total blocks. He also posted eight defensive digs for the Mount and a pair of service aces.
Chris Bacchi (Hicksville, N.Y.) continued his steady season against the Panthers with seven kills and a match-high 14 digs for the Dolphins. Junior setter Michael Quinn (Wantagh, N.Y.) added a match-high five total blocks to the winning effort and also handed out 31 assists.
Purchase was led by freshman Peter Witkowski who totaled 15 kills and 12 digs, while Dan Grabowski-Clark added 12 kills and seven digs. Bruno Estrada posted a match-high 35 assists for the Panthers.
The second match went the distance after the Dolphins fell behind two games to none to the Maccabees. The Mount responded with a convincing 30-10 win in game three and came from behind in both the fourth and fifth games to earn the win and remain unbeaten in Skyline Conference play.
Hockenjos had a big match for the Dolphins, converting 26 kills and hitting an impressive .375. He also lifted 15 digs, posted four total blocks and accounted for 30.5 points against Yeshiva.
David Guerrero (East Meadow, N.Y.) recorded 25 winners for the Mount as he and Hockenjos combined for 51 of the Mount'81 kills in the match. His last kill ended the fifth game and secured the win for the Dolphins. He also lifted 11 digs in the winning effort.
Rounding out a quartet of Dolphins in double-figures in kills were Krauszer and Bacchi who finished with 14 and 10 respectfully. Bacchi finished the night with 19 digs and Krauszer finished up with three block assists for the Dolphins.
Quinn finished the match with three kills, eight digs and three block assists and also handed out a match-high 63 assists.
Yeshiva was led by David Kahanna and Naftali Rosenthal who posted 24 and 17 kills for the Macs. Kahanna also played well on the defensive end picking up a match-high 28 digs. Joseph Bajtner handed out 46 assists for Yeshiva on the night.
The sweep on Tuesday moves Mount Saint Vincent to 12-7 overall on the season and to a perfect 9-0 in Skyline Conference play. After a day off on Wednesday the Dolphins and Maccabees will get back together on Thursday, March 4. The road contest will begin at 8:00 p.m.
